This is critical role which will meaningfully contribute to business performance, and can help improve productivity, and enable an amazing customer outcome.
Major accountabilities of position:
- Obtain a deep understanding of the business strategic and tactical priorities to ensure that the information, analysis & reporting needs of the business are delivered in an effective manner.
- Execute an effective prioritisation and planning process to ensure business requests are understood, strategically aligned, prioritised, planned and executed.
- Provide timely advice to leadership teams and managers to help interpret the information they receive, package clear actionable insights and thereby influence business decisions
- Educate, support and embed the effective and efficient use of performance reporting and analytics
- Develop and maintain portfolio, trend, performance and benchmark analysis and reports
- Develop/leverage reports and analysis tools to deliver insights
- Promote & enable self service capability
- Identify insights to improve business performance and grow value including for example new business models and segment strategies
- Strategically manage the capture and sharing of best practice insights across the business
- Understand, help establish, and track to Service Level Agreements: prioritising and escalating where appropriate.
- Use a combination of knowledge, data & analysis to identify current and emerging risks including for example performance or reputation risk.
- Collaborate with the broader BTAS, CEE & IDS team to glean further insight, particularly from in-field teams with front line and direct customer contact.
- Collaborate with other Portfolio Managers within DSI to help establish cross-business unit forums and best practice.
- Manage & contribute to DSI's input to the annual planning process and operating plan metrics, with ongoing forecasting
- Develop & maintain relevant and timely information for sales forums to enable effective decision making and achievement of targets/forecasts
- Provide high quality analytical support by developing, clarifying and documenting business requirements, identifying appropriate data sources, extracting/cleansing data, developing appropriate presentation formats and explaining outputs to requesting manager
