Cloud Platform Engineer

Have you worked as a Cloud Platform Engineer and are you looking for a new contract?

Due to ongoing growth and customer demand my client, a large, global company based in Sydney's CBD, is looking to appoint a Cloud Platform Engineer. This role is unique as it involves a combination of architecture, development and infrastructure.

The responsibilities for this role include:

Being up to date with the latest something technology trends. Knowing when and where a technology can solve a real problem versus that is shiny and new.
The support in design & documentation for public, private cloud and on-premises solutions

• Establishing and managing hybrid cloud environment
• Developing service strategy and roadmaps
• Collaborate with technical leaders, product managers and developers to ensure perfect delivery on time
  

What you will need to succeed:

• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Infrastructure Solutions (Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP,   Certificate Services, Terminal Services, etc.)
• Expert knowledge of PowerShell
• Strong knowledge of Bash, Puppet, JavaScript
• Strong knowledge of Software Packaging technologies (MSIs, RPMs)
• Strong development skills, particularly in working with APIs
• Strong communication skills (documentation, collaboration,    presentation)
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies
• Intermediate knowledge of Linux operating systems
