Due to an internal promotion the need for an experienced Internal Audit Manager has been identified. You will take part in developing and executing to an annual/quarterly audit plan using input from the stakeholders
including the Region and Corporate to identify priorities and resource requirements for the year. The ideal candidates will be an experienced auditor (internal or external) with experience in Life Insurance / Wealth Management or Financial Planning.. We will strongly consider Operational Risk or Financial Planning candidates with RG 146 experience that will work in this nimble and effective audit team.
Some of your duties will be:
- Oversee and conduct cross functional audits to assess controls, operational efficiencies and compliance with selected policies, procedures and regulations;
- Specialist audit experience in areas defined above either Planning, Claims, Sales, Distribution, Product and or Actuarial will be a distinct advantageous;
- Manage Annual/Quarterly/Ad-hoc Audit Reporting;
- Draft audit reports ensure recommendations are agreed and accepted by the audited group;
- Prepare Audit Committee meeting package according to the local regulatory requirements and Corporate requirements;
- Staff management, lead and mentor individuals;
- Stakeholder relationship management: Represent IA.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Minimum 6 years of auditing experience, possess experience in internal / external audit is essential;
- CA / CPA / CISA or CIA background preferred;
- Highly advantageous is a diploma in Financial Planning or a qualification in RG146;
- Proven track record in managing audit processes with a broad-based knowledge of the regulatory requirements of the FS sector, ideally the insurance industry;
- Possess the ability to apply commercial thinking to provide professional advice in audit context;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills • must be able to communicate effectively externally and internally with all levels.
