This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced auditor to join this small yet highly effective Internal Audit team.
You will report directly to the Head of Internal Audit and will oversee and lead a small team of auditors and co-source arrangements. Due to the growth and change this Financial Services group is going through you will have the opportunity to audit a variety of exciting projects and programs.Duties: Conducting internal audit, assurance and compliance engagements; Scoping of audits to ensure they target key risk areas and delivering audit projects to budgets and deadlines; Ensure project assurance for numerous ongoing and new projects within the business; Managing the planning, fieldwork, reporting and follow up on financial performance and compliance audit reviews; Providing input into the development of the audit universe and annual internal audit plan; Contributing to the optimisation and continual improvement of audit methodology and procedures; Assesses the effectiveness of risk management, internal control and governance frameworks with legislative and internal policies; Makes recommendations to improve the control structure and governance frameworks.The ideal candidate will be CA / CPA or CIA qualified and will have gained 5+ years' experience in either internal or external audit. Additional certification in PMP / PmBok / Prince 2 and interest in conducting project reviews will be highly advantageous. Financial Services experience in the local Australian market is essential. You will have a proven track record in managing audits end to end, supported by excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
